August 20 – AS Monaco have signed Payhound as their Official B2B Crypto Payment Partner for the 2026/27 season, adding a specialist payments company to the club’s commercial network.

Payhound works with businesses using cryptocurrency, providing infrastructure to accept, settle and manage digital asset payments.

The company says its focus is on cross-border transactions, with services built to meet European regulatory requirements and simplify crypto payments for corporate clients.

Payhound will be featured across the club’s digital channels, but will also be given access to partner events, networking opportunities and Monaco’s wider commercial network throughout the season.

That gives the company a direct route to other sponsors, VIP clients and business contacts connected to the club.

Elton Dimech, Managing Director at Payhound, said: “At Payhound, we are pleased to collaborate with AS Monaco, a club recognised for its excellence, ambitionand global reach. This collaboration reflects the growing role of crypto in payments and the opportunity to demonstrate how secure, regulated and efficient payment infrastructure can support organisations operating on a global scale.

“AS Monaco’s strong international presence aligns closely with Payhound’s vision of making crypto transactions simple, secure and efficient, while enabling businesses to move funds quickly across borders. We look forward to building on this collaboration and demonstrating how Payhound is helping shape the future of global payments.”

Matthias Reichwald, Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer of AS Monaco, said: “We are delighted to welcome Payhound as a new partner. As one of the key players in the cryptocurrency sector, Payhound brings valuable expertise to our network. We are confident that this partnership will also encourage exchanges and create meaningful connections among our partners throughout the season.”

Crypto sponsorships in football are usually aimed squarely at supporters, particularly through trading platforms, fan tokens and shirt branding.

This has a more corporate feel, with Payhound using Monaco as a route into the club’s business network, where the real value of the agreement is likely to sit.
