David Beckham belts out Wonderwall with kids after England World Cup win - but not estranged son Brooklyn

Former England captain David Beckham was caught on camera belting out a tune or two with his sons at the England game in Miami - except for his eldest, Brooklyn

A delighted David Beckham was spotted singing his heart out in the stands after England's quarter-final victory on Saturday, as the Beckham family turned out in force in Miami to cheer on the Three Lions. Well, almost the entire family.

Eldest son Brooklyn was once again nowhere to be seen, signaling that the rift between him and the rest of the Beckham clan shows no signs of easing. Despite both Brooklyn and the rest of the family currently being in the US, the high-profile match was seemingly not the moment for a long-awaited reunion with their estranged eldest son.

In fact, Brooklyn also skipped his little sister Harper’s milestone 15th birthday party just the day before in West Palm Beach, Florida. According to photos obtained by Page Six, Harper celebrated the big day surrounded by the rest of her tight-knit family: parents David and Victoria, brothers Romeo and Cruz, and their respective girlfriends, Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.

When the final whistle blew on England's tense 2-1 win over Norway, jubilant fans erupted into the anthem that has become the definitive soundtrack of the 2026 tournament. David was right in the thick of the celebrations, throwing an arm around Romeo as the pair belted out the Oasis classic alongside thousands of fellow supporters.

The Beckham patriarch had already caught the eye of fans on social media earlier that day for his passionate rendition of "God Save the King." Stadium cameras captured the former England skipper enthusiastically singing the national anthem beside Victoria—a much happier contrast to just days prior, when he was spotted reacting dramatically to a frustrating Harry Kane miss against Ghana.Beckham's attendance at the fixture followed his hosting of England's squad at his Inter Miami training complex in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, making the Florida Blue Training Center available ahead of the side's quarter-final encounter with Erling Haaland and Norway.

Footage of Beckham singing along spread across X, with supporters responding warmly to the scene. One user quipped that the broadcast director cutting to Beckham during the anthem was understandable "because we all know that's the king we're really singing about."

Others remarked on the unusual sight of Victoria at a fixture, with one fan commenting, "You know it's serious for David Beckham tonight if he managed to convince Victoria to watch a match.", reports the Mirror US.

Further posts commended the couple's display of patriotism, with one describing them as "a true power couple showing respect during the national anthem."

Beckham, who holds the positions of president and co-owner of Inter Miami, was accompanied at the Fort Lauderdale session by his sons Romeo and Cruz, and made a point of speaking personally with numerous players, including captain Harry Kane, before England stepped onto the pitch for training.

Kane subsequently described the visit as a significant morale boost for the squad.

"He just wished us luck. After most games, he messages me and we stay in touch," Kane said. "He's obviously a big England fan. We know how much it meant for him to play for England and be captain. He was there to support us."

He added: "We were obviously using his home, the home he's built, so we appreciate him doing that for us. Ultimately, it was good to catch up with him and for the other lads to have a chat with him. He is an English legend, he was wishing us well and hopefully we can do him proud tomorrow."

Beckham, who earned 115 caps for England during a playing career that featured stints at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and Paris Saint-Germain, led the national team as captain for six years and remains amongst English football's most iconic figures.

He has maintained a visible presence throughout this summer's World Cup, monitoring England's progress closely as Thomas Tuchel's side advanced towards a third consecutive quarterfinal appearance.

England approaches Saturday's fixture against Norway seeking to reach the semifinals for the first time under the current tournament format. The victors will progress to meet either Argentina or Switzerland in the World Cup semi-finals, with two powerhouses in France and Spain on the other side of the draw.
